Hello World

I started to use wordpress. Thanks, I found it. I found it accidentally while I was reading an article about mozilla. Open Source is gorgeous…

I will write all my blogs here now on. I created some categories. I will be able to watch my life, my projects…

I wrote on March 10th, 2005. This was my very first blog post on my own wordpress instance on a linux machine I was renting monthly.

My next blog post was a quote:

For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin – real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way. Something to be got through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life. - Fr. Alfred D’Souza

After about 500 posts, about linux, open source, technology and myself I posted this:

Shipping estimate: June 15, 2009 :)

I tagged that post with Kindle DX. Oh, I much I enjoyed using that kindle.

One of my last blog posts was about how my daughter kissed me for the first time.

Today for the first time Duru kissed me! I think it is also the first time she ever kissed anyone :) While I was hugging her, she took my head closer to her and put a kiss on my cheek. As of today she is 1 year 1 week old..

Then in 2009, a few posts after the one above, I stopped blogging. After a few year later my site stopped working as I never updated wordpress and at some point MySQL version was too old for vendor to support. I just surfaced these records from the MySQL backup of my wordpress site.

Later, I created different domains to post technical content. None of them lasted long as they were very domain specific.

Now this is a new start. Here, I will write a little bit about everything but mostly on modern distributed applications and the teams that build these.

I also decided to copy my old posts scattered in different blogs to here. Any article older than 2020-12-24 is one of these.
